top restaurants in Johannesburg participating in this year’s
Taste of Jo'burg. This five day celebration of fine food and drink,
in its third year, was held at Montecasino, Fourways from 30 September
to 4 October 2009.

Thursday - The New Friday!
A fun, relaxed
evening that takes place at the hotel every last Thursday of
the month. With happy hour from 18:00 to 19:00, you can buy one
drink and have 50% off your second drink, repeated throughout
the hour while you watch your favourite sports games all night.
This popular weekend
shindig takes place on the last Sunday of every month and features
Indyebo Afro Pop Band. Enjoy a kasi style braai buffet at R120.00
per person, no entrance fee.
The
Soweto Hotel on Freedom Square is the venue for this year’s
Soweto Mushroom Festival launch. Now in its 4th year, the Soweto
Mushroom Festival celebrates the best of mushrooms throughout Soweto
and will take place during the last weekend of October – from
30 October to 1 November.
